Samsung Epic 4G is the edition of Sprint from the Samsung Galaxy S phones.  In totality, it is similar to its cousins like the Captivate from AT&T and the Vibrant from T-Mobile USA.  All of these phones belong to the Samsung GALAXY S series but are released by different carrier companies.

Just like all the phone types mentioned above, the Samsung Epic 4G is powered by a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and also comes with an AMOLED screen.  The very distinct feature that Samsung Epic 4G has is a slide QWERTY keyboard and an access to the WIMAX network of Sprint.

If you look at the Samsung Epic 4G in terms of design, it radiates an executive, business phone look but with a touch of a trendy design as well.  Its dimensions are at 4.9 x 2.5 x 0.9 inches.  Its 4.3 screen is also an attraction to this phone.  The screen has a fast refresh rate when playing games or watching videos.  Although some find it darker than other phones a simple adjustment to settings can be the solution to this minor glitch.

In terms of messaging and browsing, you have an option to use the QWERTY keyboard or the phone’s Swype program which improves a lot of messaging speed, lessening the chances of you pressing a single key again to just swiping the words out to build up your message.  Both these methods may need a bit of practice if you are new to this type of messaging interface.

Other significant buttons are placed on the phone in such a way that it would not hinder navigation and performance.  If you inspect the rear of the phone it is where the battery cover is and the 5 megapixel camera with LED flash.  This part may be vulnerable to pocket scratches so it is better off to invest a cover for the front and the back side of the Samsung Epic 4G.  A material called the shield skins is used as a screen protector and as a body protector.  This will make your phone scratch free as well.

In terms of user interface, home screens and widgets play a big positive part with the Samsung Evo 4G.  By default applications and home screens are very well put together.  You do not have to worry about unnecessary widgets and applications that you might find annoying the longer you use the device.  Communication is clear in both voice calls and other common forms of communication available.

The power that the Samsung Epic 4G has among its other competitive brands is noticeable in every way. It is a complete plate of goodies with no spoils.  It may have to cope with network coverage or minor unexpected issues on browsing and interface but all in all, this device stands out among the many.
