Can I use Shield Skins with a case?

Yes. Shield Skins adds no bulk to your device so many cases will fit on your device even after you install Shield Skins.

Can Shield Skins be removed?

Yes. Shield Skins is designed to stay in place Shield Skins are removable. If you want to remove Shield Skins just peel it off like a sticker. Start at a corner and slowly peel it off. Shield Skins will not leave any sticky residue if it is removed.

Do you sell Shield Skins in uncut bulk sheets?

No. We custom design Shield Skins to fit each specific device. If you device is not listed please email us using the Contact Us about making Shield Skins for you device or you can purchase one of our DIY skins and make your own Shield Skins for your device.

Does the “Full Body” option include the Screen Protector?

Yes

What if you don’t have Shield Skins designed for my device?

Email us using our Contact Us and let us know what your device is and we will let you know if we have plans on making a Shield Skins for it and when we can have it done. You can also get one of our DIY Skins and make your own Shield Skins for your device 

Will I need to cut Shield Skins to fit my device?

No. We design each Shield Skins to fit your device perfectly.

Will Shield Skins effect the sensitivity of touch screen devices?

No. Shield Skins will not effect the function or sensitivity of your touch screen device.

Will Shield Skins leave behind a adhesive residue if I take it off?

No. Shield Skins will not leave any adhesive residue if you decide to take it off your electronic device.

Will Shield Skins make my screen blurry?

No.

Installation Questions

Do I really have to turn off my device for 12-24 hours?

Yes. We recommend that you leave your electronic device turned off for 12-24 hours after installation. This time gives the application solution time to dry-out so the Shield Skins will adhere to your electronic device.

Do I really have to use application solution to install Shield Skins?

Yes. The application solution allows the Shield Skins to slide around on your device and NOT stick to it so you can get it in the perfect position. Then you squeegee out the application solution from under the Shield Skins and let the remaining application solution dry-out and the Shield Skins will be adhered to your device.

How do I apply Shield Skins?

I ran out of application solution, how can I make more?

If you run out of application solution simply mix 10 ounces or water with 2-3 drops of mild liquid soap. (baby shampoo works best)

If while installing I notice my Shield Skins is not aligned properly, can I remove and reinstall it?

If you notice it is not aligned properly within 5 minutes then you may remove it and reinstall it. If must remove it we recommend that you keep your fingers wet and peel it back slowly and carefully (DO NOT stretch it). After you get it off your device re-wet it with application solution and install it on your device as usual.

My shield will not stick to the corners or other curved areas. What do I do?

If you Shield Skins has trouble sticking to some corners or curved areas simply let the device sit with the Shield Skins on it for 15-20 minutes and then try to stick them down. If they still do not what to stick down let the device sit for another 15-20 minutes and try it again. Repeat this process as needed.
You may also “palm” the trouble spot. To palm the trouble spot let the device dry as described above and then simply hold the trouble spot in the palm of your hand for 60 seconds. If it still does not stick let the device dry for another 15-20 minutes and try it again. Repeat this process as needed.

Should I clean my device before installing Shield Skins?

We recommend that you do clean your device of all dust, dirt, oil and finger prints that may be on your device before installing Shield Skins. Shield Skins will not adhere properly if the device is not cleaned before installation.

How long after I place my order will it take to ship?

At Shield Skins we strive to make sure you get your order quickly and efficiently. We ship Monday through Saturday. Most orders are shipped within 24 hours of when your order was placed but occasionally it may take up to 72 hours.

How much will it cost to ship to my International address?

If you order 2 Shield Skins or more then standard international shipping is FREE. If you order 1 Shield Skins then standard shipping is only $1.00.
Priority International shipping costs only $14.50 if your order is for 5 Shield Skins or less.
Express International shipping costs only $35.00 if your order is for 5 Shield Skins or less.

What do I do if I need a Replacement?

What does the Lifetime Replacement Guarantee not cover?

The Lifetime Replacement Guarantee does not cover installation errors. This includes but is not limited to incorrect alignment and bubbles under the Shield Skins film. Please read and understand all installation instructions BEFORE you install your Shield Skins.

Please note that our liability does not extend beyond our product.

When do I qualify for the Lifetime Replacement Guarantee?

You qualify for a the Lifetime Replacement Guarantee if your Shield Skins was damaged while it was protecting your electronic device.

Will I have to pay anything to get a replacement?

You will be charged a minimal fee of $4.95 processing fee for each replacement.

Will I have to send the damaged Shield Skins back?

Yes. We must receive your damaged Shield Skins back within 30 days of requesting your replacement. If we do not receive the damaged Shield Skins back within 30 days you will no longer be qualified to receive any future replacements.
